For all of you iPhone users (and developers), here is some exciting news worth keeping an eye on – Adobe seems to be close to developing a version of Flash for the iPhone. This would mean we could see richer, multimedia experiences through web pages being viewed on the iPhone and would make many more websites accessible. Just the other night I was at a restaurant and was using my iPhone to find the address of the place I was going to next – sure enough, the entire website was in Flash so I could not access it on my phone and was not able to find the answer to a pretty basic question. With that said, the number of people who surf the web on their phone is pretty small so I wouldn’t lose sleep just yet if your website isn’t compatible with mobile phones. But, in the not so distant future, you should expect that number to increase significantly, so if Flash can become compatible with the iPhone it will really be a great step forward for all.
This is really all still speculation but I came across the link below which breaks down the rumor in detail.
