Hispanic Online Usage Continues to Surge

According to a new report, the number of Hispanic online users is expected to climb to 21 million users by the year 2010. What's more interesting, is that study finds that the Hispanic online population tends to skew younger with 58% of users under the age of 35.

Now, if you are a theatrical production seeking to reach this young Hispanic audience, consider the following:

“There's an added dimension that sets them apart. Their cultural heritage and language choices make for multiple identities, online and offline. Marketers need to remember those things in order to effectively reach this exciting demographic group.

There continues to be a debate about the online language of choice for Hispanic users. Although Hispanic youth value the Spanish language and seek online Spanish-language content, they often prefer to speak English and participate in English-language media."
