Friendster's dirty little secret

Well - Friendster claims to be the real "first mover" in the social networking space before MySpace and Facebook. That may be accurate but it's clear that both MySpace and Facebook simply developed better products. But, now Friendster has one thing that both MySpace and Facebook do not have - a patent on social networking. The patent they have received is described as "a system, method, and apparatus for connecting users in an online computer system based on their relationships within social networks." Vague, yes. But it's a patent and can clearly cause some disruption in the social networking space if Friendster decides to use it to their advantage.
