Text messaging next on the spam radar

The San Francisco Chronicle recently reported, nearly ten billion text messages are sent by US cell phone users every month. Personally, I haven't been hit with any spam issues on my cell phone just yet but I know it's coming any day now. According to the following story, Verizon filters up to 50,000 spam messages every day before they can reach customers’ cell phones. Think of all the spam messages that are getting through. This will be a critical piece of the mobile marketing puzzle moving forward.
