Broadway discounts – dollars off said to be more effective than percentage off

Here’s a quick tid-bit of content for you from the Internet Retailer Report… “Click-thru rates for emails offering a specific dollar amount off were 45% higher than those offering a percent discount. Apparently shoppers are more interested in receiving $2 off a $10 purchase than in getting a 20% discount.”

We’ve seen similar findings on emails that we have tested in the past.
